OUR COLLECTIONS
Come behind the scenes of our production and gain insight into our choice of materials and how we work.
We work exclusively with natural materials of good quality and have great respect for the origin of the raw materials we use for our collections. All our styles are created with consideration for the environment and a sustainable future. A large part of our cashmere is certified under Ecocert. This certification is an environmental label that focuses on ecology, resource conservation and securing biodiversity.
By creating timeless designs in natural and long-lasting materials, we hope to offer easy everyday clothing that you actually use and that lasts season after season.
All our collections are produced without expensive intermediaries. When you shop with us, you buy directly from our own production. Our mission is to make exclusive knitwear more democratic and good quality accessible to everyone.
Here you can read a little about the different qualities we work with:
CASHMERE - THE HEART OF OUR COLLECTIONS
The yarns come from goats that live in and of nature and thrive in their surroundings - this gives the best quality. The name comes from the origin of the goats in the Himalayan region of Kashmir. The mountain and desert landscape of Mongolia is home to the people who live with and live from their goats, which provide both wool, milk and meat. The goats develop a fine undercoat, which protects them from the harsh cold that can occur.
The goats are gently hand-combed in the spring months when the weather gets warmer. Only the soft underwool is used for yarn. The combing is done gently and at the time of year when the goats shed naturally. The cashmere wool is extremely delicate and exclusive, the likeness of which cannot be found in any other type of wool. A large part of our cashmere is certified under Ecocert.
CASHMERE BLEND - NEWEST MEMBER OF THE CASHMERE FAMILY
Our cashmere blend is a blend of cashmere and mercerized wool, combining the best properties of both wool qualities. This quality gets the softness from cashmere and the smooth surface and ability to keep its shape in wash and use from the mercerized wool. Both types of wool have good thermal insulating properties.
YAK WOOL - THE WOOLY TREASURE FROM THE TIBETAN PLAINS
This type of wool comes from yak oxen that live in the same places as cashmere goats and roam freely. The herders follow their natural cycle through the seasons. The oxen are a natural part of the ecosystem and graze on the high plains. Yak wool (khullu) is the soft undercoat that the oxen develop in the autumn and shed naturally in the late spring months. Yak oxen are neither sheared nor combed. The wool must be collected at just the right time or it will be lost. The wool is soft and can really keep you warm. It has a good ability to hold its shape and is one of the more durable types of wool.
MOHAIR - FEATHERY & AIRY KNIT THAT KEEP YOU WARM
Our mohair is from South African goats. We only use certified "non-mulesed" mohair wool for our production - this means good animal welfare and no abuse.
